for all of you that are leak freaks like me, here’s a new leak you might like…honestly, i don’t see much different, but then again, i haven’t used it much.
It appears as if BlackBerry Messenger 5.0.0.52 is included with the latest Bold 9700 leaked OS, and BBHybrids has posted an OTA link so everyone can get in on the fun. Rumors all over on what is new/different in this version (dive into our forums for lots of threads on it), but if you want to give it a go you should be able to install it on any device running OS 5.0. We’re not sure how long the link will stay working, but you can give it a shot and keep your eyes out for any download mirrors that will likely pop up. Be sure to leave a comment and let us know your findings.
* Disclaimer: Same standard disclaimer as all OS leaks apply. Install at own risk. *
It’s weird when you’re just hanging out or working or doing whatever and then you realize that part of you has grown up…when you stop thinking about having fun now and start thinking about the future…when you stop looking at someone’s appearance as the sole means of why you’re talking to them in the first place. When you start looking at them deep down and what they’re really doing with their lives.
It’s weird meeting a girl and wondering whether or not you’d be able to bring her home to meet the folks…whether or not there’d be a viable future with this person. Maybe I’ve got some sort of block in my head because of some experiences in the past. Maybe its just my age catching up with me.
Its just really odd and surprising when you realize that you’ve grown up. It’s weird to walk into a bar or a party and look around and just know that no one there lives up to any standards that one may hold. Maybe my standards are too high and maybe my mind is just elsewhere or with someone else
Maybe it’s being alone most nights or seeing friends getting engaged, married, or having kids…maybe i need to start hanging out elsewhere and maybe I need to get over the things in my past and maybe i just need to get some perspective on what’s going through my head.
All I know is…realizing that you’ve grown up only makes you think more…
here are a couple really cool blogs if you’re into cars and photography…
the first is Art Pants, which they describe as “a 365 day-long-daily-photography-challenge, featuring Will Roegge and Linhbergh. Each will publish one photograph a day for an entire year. Both love black coffee. And Art Pants.”
The second is Can I Beat?, which is a “group of friends with unique tastes in cars, clothing, culture and style.”
Check em out…i know these are a couple blogs that I’ll be watching.
My good friend, and basically my little sister, was recently interviewed about her views on Women’s MMA…nothing but love for Nicole…keep training
Recapping With Nicole Pesqueira – Women’s MMA Is Awesome
You may not know who Nicole Pesqueira is right now, but you will in the future. Pesqueira has been training in mixed martial arts for the better part of four years and has had an amazing journey since the beginning. Her goal is to be able to compete in a mixed martial arts fight, and she is on her way to do it. She is such a hot prospect that without having a single fight under her belt, she already has sponsors lined up. It isn’t easy for a female to participate in a male dominated sport, but Pesqueira is confident that women’s mma will get to a similar level of respect and acceptance.
Pesqueira started training four years ago. Her story is very different from the traditional fighters’ stories. She didn’t grow up wrestling, or doing sports. She explains in her own words how she got into mma.
“I get this question a lot and I don’t think anybody really ever is prepared for the answer I give. When I was 19 years old I was in an extremely abusive relationship. The dude was very controlling as well as physically and mentally abusive. He even ended up raping me several times. After I finally got the strength to leave him I made a promise to myself that I’d never let anyone hurt me or take advantage of me like that again. So that is my fuel for training hard. People ask why I’m so passionate about it and train so often. This is why. Most don’t understand but it’s become my strength, therapy and empowerment. We joke that “Muay Thai saves lives” but it’s really is true. I also tell my jiu jitsu instructor on a regular basis that if it wasn’t for the dojo that I wouldn’t know where I’d be. “
definitely a good cause…get involved if you can or just make a pledge to stop using the R-Word
Spread the Word to End the Word is an ongoing effort by Special Olympics, Best Buddies International and our supporters to raise the consciousness of society about the dehumanizing and hurtful effects of the word “retard(ed)” and encourage people to pledge to stop using the R-word.
The campaign, created by youth, is intended to engage schools organizations and communities to rally and pledge their support.
Most activities are centered annually in March, but people everywhere can help Spread the Word throughout their communities and schools year-round thru pledge drives, youth rallies and online activation.
The effort is spearheaded by college students, Soeren Palumbo (Notre Dame 2011) and Tim Shriver (Yale 2011), and led by young people, Special Olympics athletes and Best Buddies partners across the country.
Celebrity activist John C. McGinley of the hit show “Scrubs” is a spokesperson for the campaign.
Respectful and inclusive language is essential to the movement for the dignity and humanity of people with intellectual disabilities. However, much of society does not recognize the hurtful, dehumanizing and exclusive effects of the word “retard(ed).”
It is time to address the minority slur “retard” and raise the consciousness of society to its hurtful effects.
Unfortunately the court ruling leaves us no other option than to take our platform offline, except for the Content Distribution service. According to the verdict (Dutch link) we have to prevent uploads of torrents to Mininova that refer to certain titles or to similar-looking titles. We’ve been testing some filtering systems the last couple of months, but we found that it’s neither technically nor operationally possible to implement a 100% working filter system. Therefore, we decided that the only option is to limit Mininova to Content Distribution torrents from now on. We are still considering an appeal at this moment.
We launched our Content Distribution service in 2007. This service allows producers and artists to easily publish and distribute their content for free through Mininova. The launch of Content Distribution has proven to be a success. Countless content owners have used Content Distribution to distribute their content (e.g. albums and documentaries) for free to millions of users. For example, the Dutch band Silence is Sexy released their complete album on Mininova and received the Interactive Award 2009 for doing so. The Dutch television broadcaster VPRO decided to start using Content Distribution in 2009 in order to distribute documentaries.
We would like to thank you for your support. Especially everyone that contributed to Mininova receives a big “thank you!” for the effort! We hope to keep welcoming you on Mininova and our other projects (e.g. Snotr, Dispostable).
MTV’s latest and lamest creation is coming to a TV near you…reality TV is slowly becoming what most other things on TV are…trash…call me a hater if you want, but I can’t stand douchebags like this…I, for one, will not be watching this shit
Well, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 came out almost 3 weeks ago, and I’ve been playing it since. What I haven’t done is write and let you know what I think about it.
Throughout the campaign mode, there are several very fun missions, but there are also some very difficult missions that are downright frustrating, even on the most difficulty.
In several missions, you get to breach doors and walls which is followed by entering the room in slow motion and taking out the enemy. In another mission, you must escape the enemy via snowmobile. In other missions, you sneak around the enemy in a snow storm armed with guns that have heartbeat sensors and thermal scopes. These are very fun.
On the other side of things, there are several missions where you are simply overwhelmed by the enemy. One such mission takes place in the favelas. There are enemies on several different stories of buildings and they all seem to be shooting at you. On any difficulty, this can be frustrating as you are being shot from every direction. Yes, it makes things more difficult, but it is also very frustrating.
What I really got the game for is the online play. Unfortunately, there is not a zombie mode, but that’s excusable. The guns and unlockables are vast, and by that, I mean there are thousands of weapons, attachments, call signs, and emblems to unlock. Some of them are very hard, but that is the nature of the game. To get through all the levels prior to prestiging takes quite a while if you don’t get to play that much, but that just adds to it.
Overall, its a very good game and a great addition to the Call of Duty series.
Recently I’ve seen a couple things that have irked me…well, they have for some time, but I never wrote about it. Respect. Something we all want, but not something we always get.
On Friday night, I was at a local bar and a fight broke out. For what reason, I don’t know; but what I do know is that one of the parties involved sucker punched two people. Now…why in the world would someone sucker punch another human being? Have some respect for yourself and those involved to not be a pussy and do it straight to their face. I’m in no way condoning violence, but to hit someone else who isn’t paying attention is just ridiculous. Grow a pair and be a man about it.
On Saturday night, Alfie and I were driving along when we hear a *crack* *kshhhh*. We look back and hit entire rear window is spiderwebbed. Now, we weren’t yelling at anyone or doing anything stupid. We were simply driving. People who find amusement in doing such things deserve absolutely no respect. To damage another man’s property for no good reason is just down right disrespectful. Fortunately, Alfie and I kept our cool and didn’t go back to seek some sort of vengeance. To whomever did it…you’ll get yours all in due time.
Every so often, my friends and I will go some place that we don’t call our own; be it a bar, a club, or any other place. Now, when I’m walking through a crowd and want to pass someone, I say “excuse me” and put a hand on their shoulder. More often than not, such favors are not returned; instead, people simply push their way through without a word of acknowledging those they’re trying to pass with a simple gesture of respect. Often, I see drinks spilled and sharp tongues flick as it occurs. Every so often, an argument or fight ensue. Now, if people would simply respect one another and show a little gesture of acknowledgement, this could all be avoided.
Make the world a better place and show each person some respect, no matter how big or small, it makes a difference.
