I was gonna go ahead and post up some more SEMA coverage for you guys, and what I’m gonna tell you is SEMA-related…but let’s take some time to air out some dirty laundry shall we? Now let me begin by saying that I’ve known Ross for quite awhile now…The guy is a stand-up dude. I don’t really keep large amount of people around me because I’ve been burned in the past and I like to keep my network of friends small. Within that group, Ross is definitely one of the guys in my tight circle of friends. The guy is a self-made business man. Came from nothing and runs a business on his own and does all his own work. He doesn’t take short-cuts and he doesn’t screw people over. It’s not in his nature to do so. The man will stay up for days just to complete a project because that’s the type of guy he is. When I say that he’s a homie, I trust him and I back his business venture. I’m sure you guys have heard me mention Midnight Garage more than once. We worked together to throw his grand opening and it was great. From time to time I’ll try to help him out and give him advice. One of the things I tell him all the time, is to weed out all these extra motherfuckers around him. Sometimes you can tell when their are people around who are of no value. They’re leechers. They cling to you and take everything you have. These people are suspect. What I’ve noticed from hanging out with Ross is that he tends to have some people around him that are these types of people. I don’t own a Scion. I honestly don’t give two shits about them unless my friends own them. I mean like the cars and the things done to them, but the community as a whole, ehhh, I just don’t relate. There are alot of younger cats in there that are these leechers that I speak of. I won’t  name names but I noticed this from hanging around at Ross’s shop that there are some people that that just aren’t any good for him. “Weed these people out” I’d tell him….

Long list…i know. Lets start from the top and go section by section:

This guy claims to be pushing 220 HP? can”t just buy all this shit, add up their individual HP claims and come up with a number. You need to actually put your car on a dyno…and no, your butt dyno does not count.

AEM spacer? WTF is that? And JDM Racing Headers? The tC is an inline-4…so there is only 1 bank, meaning that you’ve only got 1 header. And a JDM racing header? Again, there are no JDM parts for the tC because there’s no Japanese equivalent. OEM pulleys…why would you even list stock pulleys? and a performance chip? tested and failed…do not want!!!

Gauges…oh the gauges…mAd jDm y0!!!

exterior…I feel sad for this thing…not only does he have some shitty looking vinyl on this thing, but it looks like he changes it on a weekly basis. From his profile on club scion tC, I can see at least 3 different vinyl schemes on the car. Canards…need that downforce on the freeway y0! Custom fog lights eh? What’s so custom about em? YOU GOT THEM ON eBAY ALONG WITH A THOUSAND OTHER PEOPLE! Lambo doors…do I even need to say anything? M3 style side mirrors? I don’t know what fucking M3 you’ve been looking at, but those don’t even resemble M3 style mirrors. Vortex Generator huh? Leave it to the Evo’s you tool. Momo wing spoiler? Looks like the factory pedestal spoiler to me. 

Interior…oh the humanity!!! Bomz racing seats were legit in Nineteen-Ninety-NEVER!!! Get what your door says you have…Sparcos. Seriously, quit buying all this gay shit for your car and buy something legit. You’re interior is ugly…my 4 yr old nephew could design a better color scheme than this shit. Oh, and i just noticed the fire extinguisher…is your car gonna catch on far speeding down the freeway?

Drivetrain…never realized that a front strut tower bar was part of the drive train…

Wheels…not my style, but at least they’re not Rotas…

Paint…pick a style and go with it…custom does not always mean better. And get rid of the stupid vinyl shit you have on your car from companies you can’t even afford to buy from

Fluids…WTF is sintetic oil? that shit expensive or what dawg?

Misc: your wiring harness is fucking horrid looking…seriously, was this thing designed to look like an octopus taking over an engine bay? Type R side skirts? I don’t even see any but OEM side skirts on your car. And WTF is this goddamn Type R badge next to your radiator? Does it stand for Type Retarded? Cuz thats what you are.

Moral of the story? Don’t do ANYTHING this guy did…not only is his car absolutely disgusting, he looks like a tool to boot…have fun modding people…just avoid advice from that guy and teach him how to spell also

Following what The Chronicles did, I’m writing a bad ideas post…more should follow if I find the appropriate…ummmm….motivation. There’s tons of shit going down in the Scion community that is just plain weak. The more and more I look at pics from shows, the more and more I realize why so many people make fun of us…you fucktards are giving us a bad image.

If this is your car, I’m sorry…well, really…I’m not sorry for putting you on blast…I feel sorry for your car. Here’s what’s wrong:

1. You drive a Scion tC, made and sold exclusively in the United States. There is no Japanese equivalent you retard. So, my question to you is, how is your car “JDM as fuck”? What makes your car JDM? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Your wheels are probably some shit brand made here in the US, you’re rocking a Mugen knock off lip on a Toyota brand car…you have absolutely nothing on your car that is “JDM”!

2. Tow hook. Does your car often get towed and you simply leave it in for convenience? I know you’re not racing your car, because….well, your wheels probably weigh 30 lbs a piece and any who really races their car would probably rather be on stockers than running those pieces of shit…

3. Your wheels are shit…see above

4. Canards? You’re really driving that fast on the freeway that you need the extra down force created by the canards?

5. Knock off mugen lip…knock off of a lip made for a different brand of car AND unpainted AND no rear lip?…enough said

6. Can you yell more rice than rolling around with a giant HIN sticker on your car?

I really feel sorry for your car…PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix the things listed above.

I have a set of used TRD coilovers for sale for a Scion tC. Used a little over a year and never auto crossed. Never slammed all the way down. Driven about 85-90% freeway and the rest is city. Never hit any big potholes either.

max drop on these is 3.5″ plus all the way around, i had them a little lower than s-techs and they have a bit of extra room to go. 

Reason I’m selling these is because i upgraded to Tein SS-P’s

You will need to use your own top mounts for the front and rear. Asking price is 750 and willing to ship at buyers expense. Please don’t lowball me or I’ll ignore you.

SCION ANNOUNCES PRICING FOR tC RELEASE SERIES 5.0 – TO BE DISPLAYED AT THE 2009 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW

TORRANCE, Calif., Feb. 9, 2009 — Scion, of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., announced today that the only limited-production tC for 2009, the tC Release Series 5.0 (tC RS 5.0), will have a Toyota Racing Development (TRD) theme and be available at dealer showrooms in March. The 2009 tC RS 5.0 will be on display in the Scion space at the Chicago Auto Show, February 11-22, for media and public days.

The 2009 tC RS 5.0 features gloss black exterior paint and numerous performance products from TRD. TRD edition 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, in matte black with red trim, and red TRD lowering springs provide this tC with its menacing presence. For additional stability when cornering, the tC is fitted with a red TRD rear sway bar. A TRD sport muffler gives the tC RS 5.0 an aggressive sound signature, while a TRD exterior badge marks the car. A black rear lip spoiler will also be available.

The TRD theme is continued inside with a black leather steering wheel featuring red stitching, black seats with red accents and floor mats with the TRD logo. The tC RS 5.0 is also equipped with a cargo mat. Individually numbered badging completes the uniqueness of this vehicle.

Only 2,000 units of the tC Release Series 5.0 will be built. The tC RS 5.0 model will carry a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $2,300 over the base price of the tC. The base MSRP for the standard tC with a manual transmission is $17,000, while the standard tC with an automatic transmission model carries a MSRP of $17,800. The available black spoiler has a MSRP of $285, not including installation.

The delivery, processing and handling (DPH) fee for all Scion models is $670 and is not included in the MSRP. DPH fee for vehicles distributed by Southeast Toyota (SET) and Gulf States Toyota (GST) may vary.

 

oh scion, how you have failed us tC lovers again…no lip kit, a normal color and nothing special. Also, you’ve lowered the car but are probably using standard struts…lame. Give us a color like the xB release series cars…

looks like just another tC with some TRD goodies, which i wouldn’t add up to the $2,300 addition…
